Updated: Public Announcement mula sa Commission on Elections: “Wala na po kayong aasahan na darating na Comelec I.D.”

“Doon po sa nagtatanong sa kukunin nilang Voter’s I.D, wala na pong darating na Voter’s I.D. (‘yung mga nagparehistro ng October 2012 up di na makakakuha ng ID) sa kadahilanan na naipasa na sa Congress ‘yung National ID System. Nasa 2nd reading na rin sa Senate so magkakaroon na lang po tayo ng iisang ID, so wala na po kayong aasahan na darating na COMELEC ID.”

Base na rin ang announcement ng Comelec sa Advisory ng Information Technology Department ng national Comelec noong December 12, 2017 na pirmado ni Acting Director IV Jeannie V. Flororita.

Bunsod ang advisory ni Flororita sa maraming tanong ng mga botante kung kailan nila makukuha ang kanilang Voter’s I.D.

“As per attached authority from Acting Chairman CHRISTIAN ROBERT S. LIM, please cause to direct all Provincial Election Supervisors (PES) and Election Officers (EOs) under your areas of jurisdiction to issue and inform the general public, constituents and registered voters that the generation and distribution of Voters ID cards has been PUT ON HOLD as a result of the approval by the House of Representatives of a bill seeking to establish a national identification system which proposes only one ID for all government transactions.”
